A very rare store note backed by the Bank of New South Wales, Rockhampton and cashed at the Australian Joint stock Bank, Mudgee in New South Wales.
The note is Fine for issue.
The town of Carrangarra was settled in 1863 and renamed Tambo in 1868. Cattle and sheep were the mainstays of the economy and this note issued in central Queensland and cashed in central New South Wales provides evidence of an early cattle trail.
